The Plastic Club Salon requested DoN to do a workshop for artists on how to use Social Networking. The workshoptake place Saturday 2/23/13 at 6:30pm. The Plastic Club has purchased a hot spot for internet access so participants can bring a laptop and play along. The cost is $10.00 to cover the cost for internet access.
The session will be interactive, the agenda is broad:
- Brand Identity: What is your product? Who is your customer? What service or benefit does your product offer? What category is your product? What is your value proposition? Do you have a business card?
- Web site: What is a domain name? What is a URL? Do you have a domain name? How to pick a domain name? Do you have a web page? Does your web page have search engine optimization code?
- Social Networking: Do you have e-mail? Do you send an e-mail newsletter? Do you have a personal FaceBook page? Do you have a FaceBook fan/business page? Do you have a Twitter account? Do you have a Tumblr blog? Are you on Flickr? Do you have Instagram on your smart phone? What is HootSuite? What are hashtags? Do you have a Pinterest page? How and why to share on social media?
- Blogging: What is a blog? What to write about on a blog? What is a hyperlink? Why hyperlink to other blogs and web pages?
- Blog Platforms: Philly.SideArts.com, WordPress.org, Inliquid, heavybubble websites for artists
- Photographing Your Artwork: Do you have a digital camera? Do you have Photoshop or Elements? Do you know someone who does?
- Funding Your Project: What is Kickstarter.com?
- Selling Your Art: Etsy.com, eBay.com, RedBubble.com
