“Greetings One and All,
COME ON DOWN!
Drop in during the The Philadelphia Open Studios East of Broad Weekend, October 4 – 6th

This year we will be open on First Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday. Details below, map and directory of artists at www. philaopenstudios.org. In addition I will be hosting artist/photographer Byron Wolfe, Tyler School of Art‘s newest photo faculty member, who will have a cross section of panoramic work and his books.

I’m told by my daughters there is this thing called social media which I have no presence in, so I am kindly depending on you to spread the word. Hope to see you, on your way here check out the Made in Philly billboard on Spring Garden near Delaware, it has a Bridge piece on it.
Best regards, Jim”

“Each October, the Tours span 20 unique Philadelphia neighborhoods, feature over 300 participants, engage audiences topping 30,000, and literally put Philadelphia’s professional artists “on the map” for locals and tourists alike.

As an annual Fall festival of visual art, The Philadelphia Open Studio Tours includes self guided tours of artist studios and related creative workspaces, gallery exhibitions, demonstrations and workshops, artist talks, receptions, and guided tours.

The program provides a rare opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of visual artists at work in an approachable, festive, and easy-to-navigate tour. The Studio Tours provides a chance to engage with Philadelphia’s entire arts community from a new perspective – and based your own specific interests. No other program in or around Philadelphia consistently brings such an intimate and diverse cultural experience to the community free of charge and across such a large geographic area.” – Philadelphia Open Studio Tours 2013
